UNIONVILLE – Sandra “Sandy” Claire (Bologna) Maineri, wife of Albert J. Maineri, Jr., left this world to examine daily life over and above on Thursday, July 1, 2021. She was also a proud supporter of Chris Dodd in his early bid for Presidency in 2008. Spiritually evolving, she hiked the mountains of then Yugoslavia in 1990 with her children by her facet, in research of ‘The “visionaries of Medjugorje.” She was also instrumental in a movement to “Save Holy Land USA” in the mid ’80s.

She is survived by her prince of a partner, Albert John Maineri of Unionville her little ones, Alberta Maineri Burke and her husband, Michael Burke of Astoria, New York Terese-Louise Maineri De Velasquez and her husband, Mateo Velasquez Lopez of Bristol, Connecticut and Kristi-Lyn Sadosky and her husband, Eric Sadosky of Colchester, Connecticut her beloved grandchildren, Gabriel Michael Purpura, Matthew Jeffrey Purpura, Alberto Giovanni Velasquez Maineri, Mateo Gabriel Velasquez Maineri, Clara-Louise Burke, Christopher Michael Burke, and Sandra Cecilia Velasquez Maineri and her sisters: Flavia Bologna DePolo and her spouse, Gerald DePolo of Watertown, and Anita Bologna, of Waterbury.

She is predeceased by her fantastic mom and dad, Claire Perriello Bologna and Sando Sebastian Bologna of Waterbury, and her beloved doggy, Buster.

A memorial Mass for Sandra will be held at 10AM on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, 145 Principal Avenue, Unionville. Guests are questioned to go specifically to church in the early morning.
